Moorditj Mila1 (strong future), is a project designed to support Gnaala Karla Booja Aboriginal Corporation (GKBAC) develop its first formal Strategic Plan. This plan will set a clear direction for GKBAC, outlining how it will build its capacity and capability to support GKB members and the wider Noongar community that live on GKB country.
1. Endorsed by the Noongar Language Centre 17th June 2024.
The strategic planning process is founded on two key questions:
1. What community priorities are GKBAC best placed to support?
2. How will GKBAC grow its financial and corporate capacity to deliver on these priorities?

The engagement process will be run jointly with Aha! Consulting and Taylor Hayward Consulting, seeking input from key stakeholders in the following ways:

Joel Levin
Managing Director Aha! Consulting
Joel established Aha! Consulting in 2004, working with groups of all shapes and sizes, across the Country, on Country and overseas. He has developed hundreds of strategic
plans for the different levels of government, businesses and Not for Profits including: Nyoongar Patrol; Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation; Gumula Enterprises, Kudtji (when it was PEEDAC Pty Ltd).
Joel worked alongside Tracey Westerman and Indigenous Psychological Services on a review of the Bringing them Home program in NSW and with the Department of Local Government on training that supported regional Aboriginal Leaders to become elected members on local councils. Most recently, Joel finished working alongside the Aboriginal Empowerment Unit of the Department of Mines, Regulation and Safety on the development of their Aboriginal Community Engagement Framework.

Taylor is a Goreng Noongar man, who
grew up on Wilman Noongar Country in Collie. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Employment Relations, Graduate Certificate
in Human Resource Management, and a Master of Commerce specialising in Change Management and Corporate Communications.
Taylor’s working history spans across not- for-profit, private, small business, mining, trades and government sectors. Working in operational, strategic, and leadership roles, Taylor’s approach prioritises the people within solutions, enabling organisations to truly realise their benefits.
